He is using Python to develop a web service that implements the Sensor Observation Service (SOS) specification to distribute earth observation data in support of Goddard's EO-1 mission. Space Telescope Science Institute: Perry Greenfield described how he and the Space Telescope Science Institute got involved in helping to enhance and further develop the Numpy and SciPy libraries. matplotlib: Michael Droettboom of the Space Telescope Science Institute presented the matplotlib web site, which uses the new Sphinx Python documentation system to excellent effect. Open discussion: The group discussed priorities and future meeting plans for the BACON-PIG -- the discussion will be continued on the bacon-pig list.
